"DUTCH" We would like to say farewell to Dutch, he has gone to the Horse Heaven in the sky. Dutch was a wonderful horse for my family. Anyone could get on him and play all they would like. We put kids of all ages on him and he was great, but he also knew when it was time to work and would give 110%. He started to loose weight and the vet and I tried everything we could think of. We got a little of the weight back on him, but the winter was hard for him. I went out one morning and he was down and could not get up. The vet came out and we only had 1 choice and that was to humanly euthanized him. I stayed by his side till he was gone. We all loved and will miss him.
"PATRICK" Patrick came to be with us 3/17/07 "St Patrick's Day" at about 7:30 AM. Ani had turned the camera off sometime during the night and so when I open the stall door I was stocked. I thought I had a Sabino, but at closer look I realized that I had a Lethal White. Well I knew what was going to have to be done. So I called everyone so that they would have the opportunity to meet the fine colt. He loved people, and loved to play. In the few hours that we had with him he was wonderful to be around. I hated to call Kari. She is the owner of the Sire (Fire A Jazz). She hate to hear of this and was very supportive of the fact that I had my first LW. Thanks Kari. Deahonna (Windstorm Acres) and her husband came over and since this was my first I had to make sure. Deahonna and Marty checked in on me all day. Toby, Susan and Payton Leffew came over also. The big St Patrick's Day Parade was going on in Shamrock, Texas and I did not feel like going and being around a lot of people. The Leffews took my nephews for the day and even let KaMonte' spend the night with them. I am hoping that Payton will want to start showing some of these wonderful foals. Thanks for ya'll help. I was really hard on my mother because we just lost my little sister back in June 2006. She hung in strong for me. Thank You We all are glad that we got to meet this little guy, but hope that we don't have to do this again. It is hard to not get these guys when you are breeding the Overo Paints. I will be adding a page about Lethal Whites very soon so that everyone can read about these guys.
